New rsyncrosim and pysyncrosim vignettes coming soon

The introduction of SyncroSim Studio brought transformative updates to the SyncroSim ecosystem, with significant changes to both the rsyncrosim and pysyncrosim packages. To support users in transitioning their scripts from version 1 to version 2, we’re preparing two new, comprehensive vignettes that provide a clear roadmap for navigating all changes and improvements.

Rsyncrosim

The new Updating rsyncrosim Scripts to Version 2 vignette will cover all the changes introduced in the latest version of rsyncrosim. This guide will ensure users have the tools they need to make their scripts compatible with rsyncrosim v2, including information about functions that have been added, revised, or deprecated. It will also highlight updates to variable naming conventions and datasheet structures, ensuring easy adaptation to the new system.

Pysyncrosim

Similarly, the Updating Your pysyncrosim Scripts to Version 2.0 vignette will provide step-by-step guidance for transitioning from pysyncrosim v1.5 to v2.0. This guide will detail updates to methods, introduce new ones, and highlight deprecations. Key changes include an improved approach to multiprocessing, updated variable naming conventions, and adjustments to datasheet structures.

Please note that SyncroSim v3.0.9 or higher is required to use rsyncrosim v2.0.0 and pysyncrosim v2.0.1 or higher. Scheduled to be released early in the new year, we hope these new guides make your transition to the latest software as smooth as possible. Keep an eye on our rsyncrosim and pysyncrosim online documentation for their release.
