Announcing BurnP3+FireSTARR: A new fire modeling package for SyncroSim
We’re thrilled to introduce the latest addition to our suite of fire modeling tools for SyncroSim — BurnP3+FireSTARR.
This new package brings together BurnP3+, our powerful wildfire simulation framework, with FireSTARR, a pre-existing fire growth model built on the Canadian Forest Fire Behaviour Prediction (FBP) System. With this integration, BurnP3+FireSTARR allows users to run thousands of fire growth model iterations to estimate wildfire burn probabilities and hazard under alternative scenarios.
Like our other BurnP3+ packages — BurnP3+Prometheus and BurnP3+Cell2Fire — the new BurnP3+FireSTARR model combines the strengths of the two modeling systems. It also brings several major advantages:
No External Software Required One of the most accessible packages in our lineup, BurnP3+FireSTARR can be run without installing any software outside of SyncroSim — reducing the barrier to entry for new users

Detailed Fire Behavior Outputs Like Prometheus, FireSTARR produces detailed Fire Behaviour Prediction (FBP) outputs such as Rate of Spread and Fire Intensity — information not available through Cell2Fire.
