Community license for SyncroSim Studio
Always free for non-commercial users
Eligibility
In support of research and open-science, SyncroSim Studio is provided free of charge for non-commercial purposes. This includes those in:
- Government agencies
- Nonprofit organizations
- Academic institutions
- News media
To help confirm your eligibility for the Community license of SyncroSim Studio, click on the institution type below corresponding to your affiliation.
Government agency
You are eligible for the SyncroSim Studio Community Edition if you are a government employee using SyncroSim for non-commercial activities. This includes any agency that is part of a part of an Indigenous Government, officially recognized by the national government. If you intend to monetize the resulting products or services generated using SyncroSim, you are not eligible for the Community Edition.
If you are a government employee and do not meet the criteria above, you can still try the Professional Edition for free.
Nonprofit organization
You are eligible for the SyncroSim Studio Community Edition if you represent a nonprofit organization using SyncroSim for research, education or non-commercial activities. If you intend to monetize the resulting products or services generated using SyncroSim, you are not eligible for the Community Edition.
If you are a non-profit organization and do not meet the criteria above, you can still try the Professional Edition for free.
Academic and educational institution
You are eligible for the SyncroSim Studio Community Edition if you are a student, faculty, or staff at an academic or educational institution (e.g., K-12, college/university) and want to use SyncroSim for research or educational/teaching purposes. If you intend to monetize the resulting products or services generated using SyncroSim, you are not eligible for the Community Edition.
If you are an academic/educational institution and do not meet the criteria above, you can still try the Professional Edition for free.
News media organization
You are eligible for the SyncroSim Studio Community Plan if you are a journalist at a recognized organization whose primary mission is journalism. If you intend to monetize the resulting products or services generated using SyncroSim, you are not eligible for the Community Edition.
If you are a news media organization and do not meet the criteria above, you can still try the Professional Edition for free.
Individual
You are eligible to use the SyncroSim Studio Community Plan if you are an individual developer using SyncroSim for non-commercial purposes. If you intend to monetize the resulting products or services generated using SyncroSim, you are not eligible for the Community Edition.
If you are an individual and do not meet the criteria above, you can still try the Professional Edition for free.
Commercial organization
Employees of for-profit organizations are not eligible for the SyncroSim Studio Community Edition. In addition, any users of SyncroSim – regardless of their affiliation – that are undertaking activities where the goal is to monetize the resulting products or services generated using SyncroSim (including generating sales and marketing materials), are also not eligible for the Community Edition.
Commercial users can still try the Professional Edition for free.
Apply for or renew license
Our team will review your application and notify you of your status within 3 business days. The Community license is valid for one year and can be renewed annually.
