We usually run large simulations using AWS EC2 instances. You can create and run simulation using either Windows or Linux instances. Linux instances are more cost-effective, but are also more complicated for installing and using SyncroSim.

For information on AWS EC2 instances, see: https://aws.amazon.com/ec2/getting-started/
For information on AWS Linux EC2 instances, see: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSEC2/latest/UserGuide/EC2_GetStarted.html
For instructions on how to use SyncroSim for Linux, see: https://docs.syncrosim.com/getting_started/inst_lin.html and https://syncrosim.com/forums/topic/error-running-spatial-models-with-syncrosim-on-linux/
For cost estimates, see: https://aws.amazon.com/ec2/pricing/on-demand/

Something else to keep in mind is that SyncroSim multiprocesses across iterations. Depending on how many iterations you have, you may want to choose an instance that has many vCPUs so you can run many iterations in parallel.
