Norton Antivirus blocking SyncroSim

    This post has instructions for the Norton App version 24.10.9.10; please refer to this guide for earlier versions.

    Issue: When Norton Antivirus software is installed, it may block SyncroSim.Console.exe, SyncroSim.Studio.exe, and Rscript.exe while running scenarios.

    Solution: Exclude required folders from Norton Antivirus scanning by following these steps:

    1. Open the Norton app and navigate to Security > Advanced > Antivirus.
    2. Click on the Exclusions tab.
    3. Click the Add button and select the folder where SyncroSim is installed to exclude from antivirus scanning.
    4. Click Add again and select the folder where R is installed.

    You should now be able to run all scenarios without being blocked by Norton Antivirus. If you are still experiencing issues with running scenarios, navigate to Security > Advanced > Antivirus > Exclusions in the Norton App again and add the folder where your SyncroSim Library is saved.
