Users running spatially explicit simulations may experience the following error when doing a run: “This application has failed to start because its side by side configuration is incorrect”. This is caused because TELSA – the simulation engine for spatially explicit runs – requires the correct assembly for "Microsoft.VC80.MFC" and it is missing from the computer exhibiting this behavior. To resolve this problem download the following files from the Microsoft website and install them. vcredist libraries (sp1) http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=5582 vcredist security fix http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=14431
