I downloaded the newest version of SyncroSim (Studio 3.0.9), and tried opening a library created in 2.5.13. After being asked to update the library, I received the following error message:

“Error updating Library. Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation. Column ‘DataFolderName’does not belong to table core_SysFolder.”

What do I need to do to be able open this library? Thanks.

    Hi Ayn,

We’ve identified a Core SyncroSim bug when updating from v2.5 to 3 if there are custom “Input” and “Output” folders set in the library properties. To resolve the issue, try the following steps:

    1. Open the ‘…-V2-V3.ssimbak’ file that was created during the first attempt to update the library. This is a backup of the v2.5 library and can be found in the .ssim.backup folder, or wherever your other .ssimbak files have been saved.
    2. Make sure the input and output folders are in the same folder as the extracted .ssim file (i.e. “relative”).
    3. Clear the custom input and output folders in the library properties.
    4. Do the update from v2 to v3.

We will resolve the issue in the next SyncroSim Studio release. Let us know if you continue to have issues.

A fix for this bug has been released with the new SyncroSim beta version (v3.0.13), available to download here.
