Excellent. Thanks, Leonardo. It would help if I RTFM.
mhemstromParticipantThanks to both of you for quick responses. I’ll give your suggestion a try, Leonardo. Do you think it might be worthwhile to put a checkbox in the initial conditions tab or somewhere to allow the user to specify no variation at time 0? Of course, timestep 1 and on would have variation as specified elsewhere.
mhemstromParticipantThat last suggestion worked! The route to repair the Office 365 suite is a bit different in Windows 11. You go through the Uninstall Programs link in Control Panel, but chose Online Repair rather than Uninstall when the window opens. Thanks a bunch.
mhemstromParticipantHi, Katie. Thanks for getting back to me quickly. I have Office 365 installed and followed your instructions, but no luck. I tried to download and update the .NET framework to the latest version, but got a message that the latest was already installed. Windows 11 doesn’t exactly match your instructions, though. I found the window to turn Windows features on or off and see a checkbox for .NET framework 4.8 Advanced Services. Under that is a box for ASP.NET.4.8, which is turned on. I restarted everything, but still get the same error. Maybe it’s a Windows 11 problem?
mhemstromParticipantThanks very much for the info, Leonardo. All this time, I never knew that. Problem solved.
MilesmhemstromParticipantI’m still getting this error:
[Failure] Could not complete operation on some files and directories. See the Data property of the exception for more details.
The Data Sources tab shows no pathways. But there are pathways in the source scenario. Argh! Any ideas?
mhemstromParticipantOh…OK. So the field is still there, just hidden. That works. Thanks.
mhemstromParticipantHi, Leonardo. I double checked the lower left coordinates. They seem identical to me. I’ll e-mail a zipped file with the rasters in it to you. Thanks for checking.
mhemstromParticipantI moved my desktop machine to windows 8 pro and am running StSim v 1.3.0 on it with no problems. As far as StSim goes, the upgrade to 32 gb of ram and windows 8 pro posed no problems at all. I have the OS and software installed on an Intel solid state hard drive. StSim runs quickly and doesn’t hit the mechanical hard drive except to write results. This is a good set-up for StSim.
mhemstromParticipantI found an error in the stateclass grid. When I fixed it, the model imported the stratum and stateclass grids just fine. So, I started a 5 year, 1 iteration test run using the 17 million pixel area. No error messages, but at 1 hour and 30 minutes, the model is still initializing and the resource monitor shows physical memory use at 97 percent of 16gb that I have in the machine. My guess is that the model is either not going to run or run extremely slowly given memory usage. I do need to run that large area, though, for a project. So, I may resample the input to 120m rather than 90m. That’s getting a bit large for pixel size, given the treatment scenario. So…any recommendations on a PC configuration that would run this model? And, does the model require Window 7? Most new machines with 32 gb of RAM come with Windows 8.
