SyncroSim v3.1.24 released

December 22, 2025

A new stable release of SyncroSim, v3.1.24, is now available. Since the previous stable release, v3.1.14, the following updates have been made:

New features

  • Publish datasheets to SyncroSim Cloud: choose which of your library datasheets you want to display on SyncroSim Cloud, supporting collaboration and open-science.
  • Improved the Identify Tool: Custom Id Rasters and lookup datasheets are now automatically published to SyncroSim Cloud, allowing users to retrieve more accurate information when using the Identify Tool in the Maps window.
  • Updated conda use on non-Windows platforms: Miniforge or Miniconda can be installed and libraries can run with conda enabled on Linux or Mac operating systems.
  • Expanded multiprocessing functionality: single multiprocessing jobs can now occur, which can be useful for spatial multiprocessing when users want to run a single tile at a time.

Bug Fixes

  • Library backups no longer fail if the .ssim.data folder does not exist.
  • Multiprocessing jobs no longer fail silently with conda enabled.
  • Libraries no longer experience overflow errors when datasheets become extremely large (i.e. if primary keys exceed an integer value of 2 billion).

Other Improvements

  • Improved user experience for the SyncroSim Console: the console now provides clearer help messages, better run log formatting, and a new verbose flag for getting live updates from console runs.
  • Improved library updates from SyncroSim v2: when updating a SyncroSim library from SyncroSim v2 to v3, this will also automatically update the library’s packages to the latest versions available on the server.
